The inaugural HALFEST ASEAN in 2011 and the 2nd edition in 2012 were held in Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur. The subsequent HALFEST ASEAN events, from 2013 to 2016 were held in MINES Exhibition Centre, Sri Kembangan, Selangor.

HALFEST exhibitors come from a variety of industries such as halal consumer products, Muslimah clothing, non-F&B products, government agencies, Islamic banking and investments, cosmetics and self-care, Islamic art and calligraphy, and many more. However, the highest has always been F&B consumer products.
